Spot Robot and Accessories

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of a Spot robot, including payloads, software, accessories and services from Boston Dynamics as a sole source because of its ability to meet compatibility requirements of an authorized research project. OSU, as part of the Abstract Models to Autonomous Technologies program, along with the other participating institutions must use the same robot, payloads, software, accessories and services to ensure continuity of results amongst all participating institutions. Specific robot model has been designated by awarding agency. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010. Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by November 12, 2025, at 12:00pm PT.
