Spillway Rehabilitation Silver Stream Reservoir Dam
Description:

The City of Newburgh plans to replace the existing spillway channel walls, a portion of the spillway channel slab, and the vehicle access bridge at the spillway crest; installation steel sheet pile seepage cut-off at the spillway crest; replacement of a portion of the outlet channel wall, stabilization of a portion of the outlet channel wall, and associated site work including regrading of the embankment crest at the vehicle bridge, regrading of the embankment upstream slope and placement of supplemental riprap at the spillway channel approach, and all other work that is incidental and necessary to perform the work. A Pre-Bid Site Visit Meeting has been set for Friday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. Contractor attendance is strongly encouraged. As per the approved New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Land Use Permit, no work can commence prior to May 1, 2025. The work will be substantially complete by August 31, 2026; completed and ready for final payment within ninety (90) days after issuance of substantial completion. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: replacement of the existing spillway channel walls, a portion of the spillway channel slab, and the vehicle access bridge at the spillway crest; installation steel sheet pile seepage cut-off at the spillway crest; replacement of a portion of the outlet channel wall, stabilization of a portion of the outlet channel wall, and associated site work including regrading of the embankment crest at the vehicle bridge, regrading of the embankment upstream slope and placement of supplemental riprap at the spillway channel approach, and all other work that is incidental and necessary to perform the work.
