Description
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select qualified Driver Rehabilitation Professionals, Driver Rehabilitation Specialists, Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialists, or Occupational Therapist Driver Rehabilitation Specialists to provide the following services in support of eligible Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services Job Candidates in the no-tech, low-tech, and high-tech ranges of adaptive equipment needs:
Comprehensive driver evaluation and written report;
Individualized driver training and written progress reports;
Vehicle modification prescription for vehicle modification and adaptive equipment needs;
Evaluation and training provided using adaptive driving equipment that meets the needs of the Job Candidate and their disability;
Provision of services at the Job Candidate’s current residential location within Iowa.
All services will be funded through a federal formal grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services, U.S. Department of Education. There is no non-governmental funding for the provision of these services.
