DESCRIPTION: The Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Department is requesting to have Life supporting equipment with Pressure Support with Safety Tidal Volume (PS/SVt) mode is a Volume Assured Pressure Support (VAPS) mode often used to treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and neuromuscular disease (NMD). The PS/SVt mode offers users a volume guarantee with every breath. The Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Department is located at James A Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612

The manufacturer, ResMed, signed an exclusive contract requiring all their products to be purchased through a single distributor. First Nation Group is a SDVOSB and only way to buy ResMed ventilators.

The proposed NAICS 339112 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of 1000 employees. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contract Specialist no later than 2/14/2024 at 1:00 PM EST. Responses should be sent to jose.hernandez@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement will be solely up to the government.
