To: Prospective Contractors

The Mercer County Housing Authority is accepting quotes to pressure wash and paint the
exterior of one of our single-family homes roughly 2,688 sq ft. This is a three-story house. The
painting portion is roughly 2,160 sq ft when you take off the areas not being painted. The job
location is 315 Spearman Ave. Farrell Pa. 16121

By submission of a quote, if the quote is accepted, the contractor agrees to enter into a
contract with Mercer County Housing Authority to complete all work as specified in the attached
scope of work for the quoted price and within the contract time agreed. 30 days after the notice to
proceed.

The contractors should be advised that prior to the award of any contract, Mercer County
Housing Authority reserves the right to conduct a pre-award survey for the purpose of determining
the bidders responsible and responsive capacity to fulfil the contract. This survey may include
debarment searches, financial capacity, and quality of work performed on other contracts.

Please submit the following items with your quote:

2. Certificate of Liability Insurance
3. W-9

General Work Scope:

This work is to power wash, prep, and paint a three-story house. The contractor will be
responsible for painting all the exterior brick, the brick veneer above the front porch roof, the posts
on the front porch, the facia board around the base of the porch, and the block under the front
porch. There is vinyl siding on the exterior of the third floor, and on a portion of the addition on the
back of the house. That will not get painted. The doors, windows, aluminum trim, gutters, and down
spouts will not get painted. The entire house will be power washed. Remove any loose paint that
was not removed by the power washer.

Work Scope:

Power wash the entire house. Focus on removing any chipping paint or loose paint.

Once the house has dried. Remove any remaining loose or chipped paint with a scraper.

Clean any remaining debris off the house before applying any paint.

There is a piece of siding on the side of the dormer lock it back in place.

The contractor will be responsible for painting all the exterior brick, the brick veneer above

the front porch roof, the posts on the front porch, the fascia board around the base of the

porch, and the block under the front porch.

Prep area for primer. Seal up any gaps or cracks with a quality exterior paintable sealant.

Protect the areas not getting painted and residents from painting activity.

Prime and apply (2) Coats of paint.

Painting Contractor shall supply all paint, primers, equipment, and protection to

professionally perform this contract.

10. The contractor will be responsible for any damage caused by overspray or spilling paint.

11. The specified paint product is Sherwin Williams extreme bond primer and Super Paint. You
may submit equal too substitutes for approval with your quote.

12. Contract Timeline is 30 days from Notice to Proceed Date.

13. All work and applications are to be warranted for one year from job completion.

Notes:

e This is roughly 2160 Sq. Ft. of painting and 2688 sq ft of power washing. The contractor is
responsible for measuring prior to quoting a price.

e Use drops clothes, painters' tape, or whatever necessary to not get paint on anything that is
not getting painted.

e The house will be gray, and the posts and fascia on the front porch will be bright white.
