Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). As a result, the Government intends to award directly to Wilson Medical Supplies, Inc. Bellevue, Washington in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This requirement is expected to be a standalone purchase order with an emergent delivery date of 01 December 2024.

This requirement is for the procurement for Scanlan International Inc. Thoracoscopic Surgical Instruments. Only an authorize supplier of Scanlan International Inc. can provide these supplies because the required instruments have been determined by the surgeon and surgical team to best meet ergonomic requirements and are complementary to their experience and training in thoracoscopic surgeries. Scanlan International medical devices/instruments are proprietary designs and manufactured to proprietary specifications. The instruments are designed specifically for minimally invasive surgical procedures of the chest. These instruments are designed for fine acuity and ergonomic for the surgeon. They are designed with a unique double hinge allowing the operator to perform surgery through small incisions versus an open procedure which exposes the patient to undue thermal and infection risks as well as prolonged healing time. Scanlan International is the sole manufacturer of Scanlan products and Wilson Medical Specialties, Inc. is the exclusive distributor for Scanlan products in Washington. Due to the urgent nature of the requirement, delivery of all supplies is required NLT 01 December 2024.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming.

Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies can provide supporting documents demonstrating their capabilities and certifications. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than Thursday, 21 November 2024 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

All documents submitted will not be returned. Responses received may be used for future acquisitions. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements contained within the attached Statement of Work. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
