Pursuant to N.C.G.S 143-129, sealed single-prime Bids will be received by the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA), at the ONWASA offices in Jacksonville, North Carolina, until 2:00 PM EST, December 5, 2024, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read, for constructing the following facilities:
SOUTHEAST SERVICE AREA WASTEWATER CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS - CONTRACT 1 TRANSMISSION SYSTEM REBID
Project construction will be let under one Contract with construction including, but not limited to, the following major work items:
• Construct new Holly Ridge Pump Station at the Existing Holly Ridge Wastewater Treatment Plant site. New pump station to include two (2) new submersible pumps (and room for a third), monorail pump lift crane under roof, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work.
• Construct new 12-inch diameter force main from new Holly Ridge Pump Station to new Summerhouse Pump Station as shown on the Drawings.
• Construct new Summerhouse Pump Station at the existing Summerhouse Water Reclamation Facility site. New pump station to include submersible wet well with three submersible pumps (and room for a fourth), valve vault, monorail pump lift crane under roof, back-up diesel pump, emergency generator, electrical building with electrical and telemetry equipment, and associated piping, appurtenances, roads, and site work.
• Replace existing Reclaimed Water Pumps with new Reclaimed Water Pumps and associated equipment.
• Construct new 18-inch diameter forcemain from the new Summerhouse Pump Station to the temporary plug location as shown on the Drawings.
• Construct new 8-inch diameter treated effluent force main from the existing Summerhouse Reclaimed Pump Station to the existing Holly Ridge Sprayfield Storage Pond.
Bids must be submitted on a complete contract. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Onslow Water and Sewer Authority, 228 Georgetown Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28540, telephone (910) 455-0722, and the outside of the envelope must be marked SOUTHEAST SERVICE AREA WASTEWATER CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS – CONTRACT 1 TRANSMISSION SYSTEM. If a Bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed as above. Bids submitted by FAX transmission or by email are not acceptable and will be rejected. Bids must be made on blank forms included in the Bid documents. The name, address, and North Carolina Contractor's license number of the Bidder shall be marked on the sealed envelope.
NC Certified HUB Contractors are encouraged to submit bids for all bidding opportunities at ONWASA.
