ST. SIMONS ISLAND AIRPORT at McKINNON FIELD
SOUTHEAST APRON PAVEMENT REHABILITATION

SCOPE OF WORK: The Glynn County Airport Commission seeks to extend the life of asphaltic airfield pavements at St. Simons Island Airport at McKinnon Field (SSI) thru a comprehensive maintenance program as recommended by FAA guidance. This program will extend asphalt apron pavement life by routing, cleaning, and sealing cracks and joints, and applying P-608R seal coat. Apron pavements will be re-marked to complete the crack sealing and seal coat work. Preparation will include sweeping and cleaning of apron pavement. Portions of the work, including seal coat installation, are to be performed during overnight apron closures to mitigate impacts on airport users and tenants. The program will also include the relocation of approximately 550 LF of airport service roadway, consisting of the removal of mixed asphalt pavement and the provision of at-graded milled asphalt surfacing. Work will include restoration of disturbed areas and marking of a vehicle access lane across the apron.

A PRE-BID CONFERENCE for this project will be held on 14 March 2025 at 2:00 P.M. (local time) at the 2nd Floor Conference Room, Glynn County Airport Commission, Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, 295 Aviation Parkway, Suite 205, Brunswick, Georgia 31525-6804. This conference will include information that is essential for all bidders to understand. Therefore, ALL BIDDERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND the pre-bid conference. The Pre-Bid Conference will include a site visit and will provide the only opportunity for bidders to examine the site.
