South Surrey Athletic Park Covered Sport Box Design Build

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

This Request For Proposals is for a design and construction services on a design-build basis for the design and construction of a covered sports box for community and recreational use at the South Surrey Athletic Park (the “Project”) in the City of Surrey (the “Owner”) as more particularly described in Schedule A (the “Owner’s Statement of Requirements”).

The Project scope consists of two main components: (1) optimization of the draft designs as set out in the South Surrey Athletic Park Multi-Sports Facility Pre-Design Report (complete detailed design to apply for permitting); and (2) construction of the covered sports box.

DESIGN  VISION
The development of a new covered sport box will provide a new all-season outdoor amenity for multiple sports groups, including box lacrosse, ball hockey, and more. The covered sport box will provide weather protection on a high quality sport court, allowing sport groups to have high level games and practice regardless of the weather conditions.

The Place of the Work is South Surrey Athletic Park (14600 20 Ave), at the south end of the site between the parking lot adjacent to Semiahmoo Secondary School and Field 3.

ADDENDA
If the Owner determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the Owner Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the Owner Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFP. It is the responsibility of Proponents to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFP may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFP or may be relied upon by any Proponent. By delivery of a Proposal the Proponent is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFP, including any and all addenda.
