NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 1/10/2024. All Bids will be virtually released at 2:30 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.

This project includes:

The project includes the replacement of approximately 25,000 feet of potable water piping (6”, 8”, & 12”) including valves, fittings, hydrants, laterals, taps, cured in place structural lining, jacking and boring, subgrade preparation, base course installation, asphalt paving, erosion and sediment control, site work, and restoration and other miscellaneous work associated with construction.

A "MANDATORY PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00

a.m. on 12/13/2023 at the Virtual Meeting. A meeting link will be provided to registered planholders in advance of the meeting.

A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000, at the time the contract is executed.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
