Sources Sought: Pea Sized Gravel - Fort Carson, CO

This announcement constitutes a Source Sought Synopsis. This announcement seeks information from industry and will only be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is seeking interest from prospective offerors for a potential fiscal year (FY) 2025 award of the aforementioned requirement. The purpose of this synopsis is to gauge the availability of Small Businesses with interest and capabilities to perform the work defined in this announcement.

The proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency anticipates the issuance of a Request for Quote (RFQ). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to said synopsis or any follow-up information requested.

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is seeking interested offerors who are capable of sourcing and delivering five hundred (500) tons of Tan colored, Pea Sized Gravel material. The gravel should be Light Color Tan. The gravel should be no more than 3/8 inch in diameter size. This material will be delivered to U.S. Army Garrisons - Fort Carson, CO. 80919.

There will be an expected delivery date of thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of the Notice of Award. The contractor shall begin performance immediately after Notice of Award and complete final delivery Not Later Than the specified date of delivery identified on the award document.

The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 212321 Construction Sand and Gravel Mining. The Small Business Size Standards in number of employees for this project is 500 employees.

Anticipated solicitation issuance date is on or about 20 December 2024 and the anticipated response date is on or about 10 January 2025. The official Synopsis citing the solicitation number will be issued on the Sam Contracting Opportunities Website: at https://.sam.gov/.

Responses to this Synopsis shall be via email and shall include the following information:

1. Company/Contractor name, address, point of contact, phone number and e-mail address.


2. Company’s interest in providing a quote on the subject requirement when issued.
