The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWCPCD) is conducting a survey of potential sources for the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) program. NSWCPCD is seeking sources for a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Communications Headset for a system upgrade effort.

This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for a Communications Headset for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Key Parameters include but not limited to:

• Passive noise attenuation rating of 24 dB or greater

• Noise cancelling microphone (MIL-M-26542/2 USAF)

Electrical:

• Earphone Impedance: 10 ohms


• Earphone sensitivity: 90 dB SPL on flat plate coupler, re 1mW input @ 1KHz


• Earphone Frequency: 100 – 5,500 Hz


• Microphone Impedance: 5 ohms +/- 20%


• Microphone Sensitivity .05 - .11mV at 1KHz with input of 103 dB SPL


• Microphone Frequency Response: 300-3000Hz

Physical:

• Weight 19 oz or less


• Over the ear earphones


• Hinged adjustable microphone
