Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below.

The information gained from this market research will help the National Institutes (NIH) the Department of Laboratory Medicine plan for its acquisition strategy.

The National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center, the Department of Laboratory Medicine has a need for BioFire Defense reagents. The Department of Laboratory own and utilizes BioFire FilmArray analyzers which only compatible with BioFire Defense reagents and test kits. These instruments provide rapid, efficient, and sensitive detection of nucleic acid (DNA) from clinical samples, which allows for timely identification of the presence of infectious agents and hastens treatment.
