Solid Waste Transportation and Disposal Services

The Treutlen County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for solid waste transportation and disposal services for a three-year term, with an option to renew annually for an additional two years. In 2025, the unincorporated portion of Treutlen County had approximately 3500 residents who generated solid waste to be transported and disposed of by a third party. The firm must be able to receive, analyze, and report its findings in accordance with applicable industry standards and timeframes, and have billing and collection capabilities.

Sealed responses will be accepted by mail or hand delivery to the Treutlen County Clerk, located at 1830 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Soperton, GA 30457, until 6:00 PM on April 6, 2026. At the meeting of the Treutlen County Board of Commissioners held on that date and time, the sealed responses will be publicly opened, and the names read aloud at the Treutlen County Board of Commissioners Building, located at the above address. Submissions received after this time will not be accepted. Each sealed envelope must be marked on the outside as Solid Waste Transportation and Disposal Services, RFP 2026 and should include the respondent¿s name and address. The Treutlen County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to cancel this solicitation and/or reject any and all bids in whole or in part if Treutlen County determines that cancellation and/or rejection is advantageous to the County. Bids are legal and binding upon the Respondent when submitted. It will also be the responsibility of each respondent to obtain any addenda issues from the County Clerk. The written solicitation documents supersede any verbal or written prior communication between the parties.
