Solicitation for the Acquisition of Professional Grade Oboes

Quotes are due by 4:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time on Monday, 15 June 2026. Electronic quotations must be submitted via e-mil to Emma Newbegin at emma.a.newbegin.civ@army.mil. Fascimile quotations will not be accepted. Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted via email no later than 12:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.

This announcement is a Request for Quote (RFQ) to complete an acquisition for musical instruments, specifically professional grade oboes.

Solicitation shall provide the following:

One (1) signed copy of the Solicitation (SF1449)

Vendor name, vendor POC, Vendor CAGE, Vendor UEI, Contact Ph#, E-mail, Discount terms (if applicable); and socio-Economic status.

Include and consolidate the cost/price of shipping within the one line item.

Additionally, in order to be eligible for award, all respondents shall complete all Representations and Certifications found within their profile in the System of Award Management (SAM) at hettps://www.sam.gov.

Information provided from answers to questions shall not change/qualify the terms and conditions of the soclitiation and specifications. Terms remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. if an amendment is issued, normal procedure relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of solicitaiton amendments shall apply.

The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract WITHOUT discussions with offerors. therefore, the offeror's initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms. [RFO FAR 52.212-1(d)]

An offeror which requires the Government to execute a separate agreement with a thrid party shall be deemed technically unacceptable.

Howard XM Oboe in Grenadilla Wood Body in Grenadilla wood, professional model oboe, XM Model, full conservatoire system, silver plated keywork, semi-automatic octaves, 3rd octave key, C-D Trill Key (X2), C-C# Trill Key, Forked F-Vent, extra trill mechanisms (Ab-Bb, Ab-A), "Banana Key" - Low C-C# Trill, Eb-E trill mechanism, Articulated C# mechanism, metal-lined tenon sockets and sleeved tenons, undercut tone holes, low Bb vent, all necessary adjusting screws, adjustable thumb rest. All new instruments must come with professional solid wood case, oboe swab, polishing cloth, adjustment screwdriver, cork grease.
