Sole Source to Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies, Inc. Sole Source per the attached redacted justification.
Flow Imaging Microscopy System
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) has a requirement to place a flow imaging microscope on an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV). Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies is the OEM and does not sell these items through distribution. These items are going to be used to support testing and analysis of the aforementioned UUV. The sponsoring program office has used this brand microscope and has a significant amount of test data on file. In order to maintain uniformity across all data sets, it is in the Governments best interest to procure the same hardware that is in use elsewhere. If another brand were to be selected, the collected data may not be consistent with the data on file, resulting in unacceptable analytical errors.
