NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is prescribed by FAR 13.105(a).
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office West (RPOW) Activations Branch III intends to issue a sole source award contract to Stimdesigns, LLC. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to provide the requested services, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. Please note, you MUST have an authorization from Galileo stating that your company is an authorized distributor/reseller of their products. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Background: Â

The VA San Diego Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Community Living Center (CLC) has a requirement for Novotek Medical s Galileo Med 35 and Galileo Delta A Tilt Table in the treatment and care for patients of the SCI outpatient clinic. Both pieces of equipment provide mechano-stimulation training to stimulate the neuromuscular system using side alternating and vertical vibration training, causing muscle contraction. The tilt table is utilized for mechano-stimulation for patients who are unable to stand on their own.

Scope:
The contractor shall provide these items required. The contractor must have an authorization letter/memo from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating they are an authorized distributor/reseller of their products.
