Sole Source Notice: Purchase of DeZURIK, Red Valve & Rotork Service & Replacement Parts from Fluid Control Specialties, Inc.

This is not a Request for Proposals and there is no solicitation available. The proposed contract action is for product or services for which the City intends to negotiate and award with only one source under the authority of the City of North Miami Beach City Code Section 3-4.8. Any responses received as a result of this Notice of Intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes.

The Norwood Water Treatment Plant needs to purchase replacement parts for check valves, Rotork actuators, and valves for the sand separators and membrane skids in the Nano and Ro water plant. Fluid Control Specialties Inc. located in Sanford, Florida, is the sole or exclusive municipal representative for the Rotork electric actuators Dezurik valves and Red Valve within the state of Florida. No other representative can sell products, provide OEM replacement parts, maintenance, repair services, field services and technical support.
