CINAHL Complete is a specialized nursing and allied health research database that supports the Board’s statutory responsibilities for the regulation of nursing practice, nursing education, and public protection. Access to peer-reviewed nursing literature and evidence-based resources assists ABN staff in evaluating current clinical standards, researching nursing practice issues, and maintaining informed regulatory policies and guidance. This resource can also support nursing education program review, staff professional development, and research relevant to disciplinary and other regulatory matters.

EBSCO is the exclusive producer, provider, and licensor of CINAHL Complete. According to EBSCO’s enclosed sole source letter dated October 29, 2026, the database includes proprietary CINAHL Subject Headings, specialized indexing, exclusive publisher licensing arrangements, full-text nursing and allied health journal content, and integrated EBSCOhost research tools. No other supplier is authorized to provide an identical CINAHL Complete subscription or its combined content and functionality.
