Illlinois Secretary of State intends to enter into a sole source contract with AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) with a term of 07/01/25 to 6/30/30 in the amount of $4,000,502.43. The Commercial Motor Vehicle Act (CMVSA) of 1986, Public Law 99-570, requires the establishment of a commercial drivers license system to be shared among 50 states' motor vehicle system. AAMVA has been the designated operator of CDLIS since CDLIS began operation on January 2, 1989.
