Project Description: The City of Tempe is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to establish a contract for the purchase of solar pathway lighting fixtures. These fixtures must be capable of being side-mounted to existing 16-foot light poles. The initial purchase quantity is estimated at 60 fixtures. The city reserves the right to purchase additional fixtures as needed.
This initiative is in response to incidents of electrical wiring theft from our pathway lights along the City of Tempe Crosscut Canal Multi-Use Path. To address this issue, the City aims to replace the existing light fixtures with a solution that eliminates the need for rewiring the existing light poles. The selected fixtures should provide reliable, sustainable illumination while enhancing the security and aesthetics of our pathways.
The City of Tempe looks forward to receiving innovative and cost-effective solutions.
