Minnesota IT Services (MNIT), the central information technology agency for the State of Minnesota, partnered with the Department of Health (MDH) to enter into a 36-month agreement with The Koble Group, LLC., a Certified Health Information Organization (HIO).

An HIOs play a pivotal role in the enhancement of public health outcomes and facilitates a secure and efficient exchange of health information (EHI) among public health care providers and health organizations. Minnesota Statutes require HIO’s to hold a Certificate of Authority. The Koble Group, LLC is the sole certified HIO utilized by Minnesota health organizations with active HIO connections and exchanging EHI. For this reason, the State has deemed this a single source purchase.
