Snow Plow Services

The City of Bowie, Maryland is soliciting proposals from qualified snowplow contractors to provide snowplowing services to the City for the upcoming 2024-2025 winter season. Both corporate entities and sole proprietors may apply. A Snowplow Packet may be obtained at no cost from the Public Works Department by submitting a request for the documents via email to Carissa Sullivan at csullivan@cityofbowie.org . In your email request, include if you need the corporation or sole proprietor package. This solicitation will remain open and proposals will be accepted continuously now through March 14, 2025.

The City does not offer a sign-up bonus. Contracts will be evaluated based on contractor availability, available equipment and experience. The City undertakes to rotate assignments among its various snowplowing contractors and a contractor’s services may not be requested by the City during any given snow event.

The City encourages certified minority, women and disadvantaged business owners to submit a contract.
