Snow Clearing and Salting Sanding Glace Bay Elementary and Tompkins…

The work shall include all labour, equipment, clothing, and incidentals required to provide snow plowing/clearing and salting/sanding services at schools/locations under contract and listed in Appendix A. All potential contractors should visit schools, administration buildings and bus garages to review all areas to be plowed, salted and or sanded; as well as to verify the location of fuel tanks, septic tanks, well covers, curbs, manhole covers etc. before submitting their bid. Before the first snow fall, the successful contractors must familiarize themselves of these areas, as required, in order to minimize damage. No pleas of ignorance of such conditions as a result of failure to make all necessary examinations and calculations will be accepted as a basis for any claims for extra compensation or an extension of time.
