Snake Brook Dam Rehabilitation

Sealed bids for the Snake Brook Dam Rehabilitation project will be received at the Town Manager's Office (41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778) prior to 1:00PM (EST) on Tuesday, October 21 ^st , 2025.  Bid documents will be available beginning at 3:00PM(EST) on Thursday, September 25 ^th , 2025, and can be accessed by contacting Lydia at Pare Corp by email: lneitlich@parecorp.com .

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the project site (Snake Brook Dam, 68 Rice Road, Wayland, MA) on Thursday, October 2 ^nd , 2025 at 11:00 a.m. to review the project.

The successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond.  The estimated value of this contract is $2,200,000.

No bidder may withdraw their Bid for a period of ninety (90) days excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the date of the opening of the Bids. The successful bidder must commence within ten (10) days of receiving a written Notice to Proceed with the work completed substantially completed by December 18th, 2026. Due to a time of year restriction per the permits, tree clearing must be completed prior to April 15, 2025.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.  Owner may conduct investigations as Owner deems necessary to establish the responsibility, qualifications, and financial ability of the Bidders, proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, individuals, or entities to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to complete post-bid opening interviews to support their evaluation of the bids.
