Project Description	Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited from for the following work: Renovation and enlargement of Operating Rooms 13, 14, & 15 on the 3rd Floor of the Merle Norman Pavilion (MNP) at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. Additional work includes renovating adjacent support-areas, including a portion of the Clean Core and adjacent corridor, as well as NPC-3 upgrades throughout area of work. Specific work includes provision of new surgical-lights, equipment-booms, and anesthesia-booms; upgrades to fire-life-safety and nurse-call systems; and application of new floor, ceiling, and wall finishes. See Sheet A-10.00, Equipment Plan and Schedule, which denotes responsibility such as OFOI & OFCI. There is a total of 44 equipment types on Schedule. All work shall be performed at night. Mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk will be conducted on March 26, 2024. Only bidders who participate

in both the Conference and the Job Walk, in their entirety, will be allowed to bid on the Project as

prime contractors.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference via ZOOM: The mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be

conducted via ZOOM and shall begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Participants must log onto the

Mandatory Site Visit via ZOOM: The mandatory Job Walk will be conducted via ZOOM and

shall begin immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference. Participants shall stay logging into the

Pre-Bid Conference ZOOM session. Persons logging out or not attending the entire virtual site

NOTE: Bidders are advised that parking may be difficult. Bidders should allow ample time

to drive to the above location in heavy traffic, find a parking space, walk to the

designated Meeting Room prior to the required time. It is currently anticipated that

the Site Visit will last at least 2 hours.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California

current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid:

PREQUALIFICATION: To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience set

forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the

UCLA Online Planroom website. Bidder's completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be

received at the above-listed University Contracts Administration office in a sealed envelope, or

uploaded to the UCLA Online Planroom website, no later than:

pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.

This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial

Relations.

The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site,

including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall

comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
