Smoking Cessation Aids & Support Programs

This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by Health Shared Services Saskatchewan (“3sHealth”) for the purposes of gathering information about the marketplace in order to assist in the determination of future purchasing options or requirements. Respondents are asked to respond to 3sHealth and provide the information requested below.

The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA) is seeking to explore innovative, client-centered delivery models that ensure timely and equitable access to smoking cessation aids for LungCheck clients who lack sufficient coverage.

As part of the LungCheck program, individuals who use commercial tobacco are connected with a Smoking Cessation Case Coordinator. These coordinators work with clients to develop personalized quit plans, connect them to available supports, and provide ongoing follow-up throughout their quit journey.

To complement these supports, SCA is looking to partner with a Respondents capable of procuring and delivering both non-prescription Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRTs) and/or prescription cessation medications directly to eligible clients. The goal is remove access barriers and ensure that individuals receive the right products, at the right time, in a way that supports success.
