Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total amount bid. A Contract Performance Bond and a Contract Payment Bond each equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price will be required for the successful Contractor.

No bid may be withdrawn prior to October 15, 2025.

All bidders must be prequalified by the NCDOT as a “Bidder” prior to submitting a bid and all Contractors and Subcontractors must be prequalified as a “Bidder” or “Subcontractor” prior to performing any work on this project.

Proposals shall be placed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Johnston County Airport Authority at 3149 Swift Creek Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.

In the lower lefthand corner of the sealed proposal envelope, include the following project title:
