The project involves site civil work to support the development of affordable housing in the form of up to 29 compact container homes. Scope of work includes demolition and removal of the existing driveway and associated parking areas, installation and upgrades of underground utility infrastructure, construction of storm-water management systems, and related site improvements. Work will also include new asphalt paving, grading, and site preparation necessary to serve the housing units. The project site is adjacent to the former Scottish Inn property.
Location: Alachua County is located in North Central Florida. The County government seat is situated in Gainesville. Gainesville is located 70 miles southwest of Jacksonville, 129 miles southeast of Tallahassee, 140 miles northeast of Tampa - St. Petersburg and 109 miles northwest of Orlando.
