Simpson Lane Bridge - Rehabilitation versus Replacement Feasibility Study

General work description:

The consultant will prepare a planning/feasibility study for the Simpson Lane Bridge to provide the County with an analysis of the existing bridge to determine alternatives between rehabilitating the existing bridge and options for replacing the bridge. The outcome of this study will be utilized to streamline the PE phase of the project through the Highway Bridge Program so the solution to the scour critical bridge will already have been determined and corroborated by the Caltrans SM&I team.

The County of Yuba is accepting proposals from qualified professional engineering consultants for the preparation of a full Rehabilitation versus Replacement Study (planning/feasibility study) for the Simpson Lane Bridge. The project will allow the County of Yuba to evaluate the alternatives between rehabilitating the existing bridge and replacing the bridge and also complete the Rehabilitation vs. Replacement Study identified in the County’s 2020 Scour Evaluation – Plan of Action, found here: https://www.yuba.org/departments/community_development/public_works/documents.php . This effort is federally funded through the Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration FY 2024 Bridge Investment Program – Planning Grant.
