Solicitation Description:

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) invites bids for the supply and delivery of components for the Wayside Intrusion Detection Warning (IDW) system on Silver Line Phase II. Materials will replace existing components to improve reliability and ensure compliance with WMATA Automatic Train Control (ATC) standards. Installation will be performed by WMATA. Equivalent (or equal) products may be offered but must meet all technical specifications and receive formal WMATA approval. Bidders must provide pricing for all line items; incomplete bids will be deemed non-responsive. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the GRAND TOTAL in the price schedule. Build America, Buy America Acts Certifications (Reps & Certs, Section 21): Bidders are required to complete and submit the certification under Section 21 of the Representations and Certifications ¿ Build America, Buy America Acts Certifications. Failure to complete and submit this certification will render the bid non-responsive and ineligible for award.
