Addendum 1 issued, 1/17/2025: Updated specifications (Attachment tab) to reflect hi-lift track

Overview: The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed contractor to replace Door #6 (14'2"x14') at the Sigourney Maintenance Garage as per the specifications outlined in RFB FY2025 #099 Specifications document (Attachment tab).

Scope: Contractor to provide and install new overhead door w/ new rails per specifications provided. New overhead door to be connected to existing operator. Existing remotes to be reprogramed as needed. Contractor to provide all equipment and materials to install new overhead door and properly dispose of old overhead door.

Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance and work capacity.

Site Visits: A pre-bid site visit is recommended . To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact Kyle Williams (kyle.williams@iowadot.us). Please indicate a preferred date & time you wish to visit the site. Contractors may visit the site by appointment only. Please provide a 24 hour notice before your requested visit date. Site visits must be conducted before the question cut off date.
