Signal System Upgrade At Multiple Locations Project

General work description:

This project will look to improve signal hardware: lenses, back-plates with retro-reflective borders, mounting, size, and number; install pedestrian countdown signal heads; implement Leading Pedestrian Intervals at seven; and replace traffic signal controllers at (9) signalized intersections along multiple roadway segments within the County of Yuba listed below.

1) River Oaks Blvd / Plumas Lake Blvd.;

2) Olivehurst Ave / McGowan Pkwy.;

3) Lindhurst Ave / Erle Rd;

4) Lindhurst Ave / Hammonton Road West;

5) Lindhurst Ave / North Beale Rd;

6) North Beale Rd / Costco Access;

7) North Beale Rd / Feather River Blvd;

8) Linda Ave / North Beale Rd;

9) Hammonton Smartsville Rd / Simpson Ln.

The estimated cost of the project is $561,679.00

Complete the work within 60 working days.

This project is federally and locally funded.

DBE Goal is 14 percent (14%)

No pre-bid meeting will be scheduled for this project.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier’s check, or bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to Yuba County Department of Public Works, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening.

The County reserves the right after opening the bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid or bid submittal, and to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, as it may best serve the interests of the County.
