SIGNAL POLE & MAST ARM REPLACEMENTS FOR CITY 1ST PHASE

The City of Charlottesville is requesting bids for the purchase and delivery of Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) approved Traffic Signal Poles, Mast Arms, Luminaire Arms (including appropriate Luminaire Fixtures), associated Accessories, and Fasteners for the construction of signalized intersections included in the City's Phase-1 Traffic Signal Replacement project. All items should meet the specifications and requirements of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) as presented in the attached plan sheets.

The City intends to establish a long-term relationship to maintain consistency in compatibility, delivery, and performance across a multiphase project that will take place over the next 4 to 6 years.

The City intends to use only one Contractor to fulfill the needs of all phases and will order each phase's requirements before the work begins. The Contractor shall ensure that the complete order for each phase is delivered without unnecessary delays. If the complete order cannot be delivered in a single shipment due to logistical constraints, deliveries must be scheduled to ensure all items are received within the agreed-upon timeframe. Partial shipments may only occur if prior written approval is obtained from the City.

The City estimates that the first phase will cover six out of approximately 21 intersections. Engineering will determine the exact number of Traffic Signal Poles, Mast Arm Assemblies, and Luminaire Arms (including appropriate Luminaire Fixtures) for future phases.
