IFB No. 26-15

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Water/Sewer Business Manager, 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950, by 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at which time and place they will be opened and read for the following:

IFB No. 26-15: Sidewalk Installation & Repair

Bids will be opened at the Water/Sewer Business Office located at 16C Perry Way, Newburyport, MA 01950. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.

The bidding and award of this contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L Chapter 30,39M.

Contract award is subject to the approval of the Mayor. The City reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids or take whatever other action may be deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the City.   Newburyport is an affirmative action/equal opportunity purchaser.

MASSDOT Prequalification in “Highway Construction” is required of all bidders for this project with an estimated one-year value of $998,950 and potential three-year total estimate of $2,996,850.00. The initial contract term is for one year. The City of Newburyport reserves the right to extend the contract for an additional two years, in one-year increments. Valuation for purposes of MASSDOT Prequalification is based on first year-times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total prequal value. The estimated value provided in this Invitation For Bids is for one year. Vendors are expected to be able to provide their services over three (3) years at three (3) times the initial estimated value.

Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive.
