Summary
The Housing and Community Services Division is seeking quotations from experienced and qualified contractors for our Homeowner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program. Contractors selected for this project may be awarded based on their qualifications, cost-effectiveness, and capacity to complete work within the required timeframe.
The scope of work for the Roof replacement:
- Remove and replace all fractured fascia boards with new, defect‑free lumber of the same dimensions.
- Properly fasten the fascia to the existing wood trusses, ensuring secure attachment using appropriate exterior‑grade fasteners.
- Verify alignment and support during installation to prevent stress fractures and ensure a straight, uniform roof edge.
- Prime, seal, and paint all replacement fascia to protect against moisture and UV exposure, in accordance with Miami‑Dade exterior durability requirements.
- Conduct a final inspection to confirm proper fastening, alignment, and finish.
The Selected Contractor is responsible for securing all applicable construction permits in accordance with local, county, and state regulations, including permits required for subcontractors. If the nature of the repairs necessitates the design, review, or certification of a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer, the Contractor shall include all associated professional services and fees within the submitted quotation.
