Scope of Services
The project consists of the construction of a 12 to 14-foot wide concrete multi-use trail and a 1200-foot long,
16-foot wide pedestrian bridge. The trail begins on the west side of Shingle Creek and on the north side of
Osceola Parkway, and traverses to the east with a bridge crossing over Shingle Creek, then along an existing
pond berm, and to the north side of Osceola Parkway. The concrete multi-use trail connects to an existing
pathway of a recently developed commercial site, just west of Dyer Boulevard. Total project length is
approximately 2.4 miles.
The Project then consists of replacing the existing 8-foot sidewalk with a 10-foot sidewalk over to Thacker
Avenue then north and east along the south side of Thacker. This segment of the trail consists of the
10 replacement of damaged segments of the existing sidewalk. The trail crosses Thacker Avenue to the north at
the intersection with John Young Parkway and traverses north ultimately connecting to the Orange County
segment of Shingle Creek Regional Trail at the county line.
Work includes clearing & grubbing of the project corridor, installation of erosion control measures, earthwork,
stabilization, concrete trail pavement, pedestrian bridge, and minor milling & resurfacing with pavement
striping as called for in the construction drawings. Sodding, pavers, landscaping, signage, and minor utility
adjustments are also included. Project Map Location shown in Attachment āCā.
