Intent to sole source to Meridian Rapid Defense Group, LLC for Archer 1200 Barriers. This is not a solicitation and quotes are not being accepted at the moment.
The 355th Security Forces Squadron (355 SFS) requires the procurement of Archer 1200 Mobile Vehicle Barriers and associated accessories to support installation force protection operations. The barriers will be utilized to prevent unauthorized vehicle access at installation entry control points and provide Security Forces personnel with a rapidly deployable vehicle denial capability. This requirement supports the force protection mission of the 355th Security Forces Squadron by providing personnel with an additional capability to prevent unauthorized vehicle access to the installation. The barriers will enhance installation security and assist in protecting personnel, facilities, and resources from potential vehicle threats.
The Archer 1200 Barrier is a portable anti-ram vehicle barrier that requires no electricity, hydraulics, or forklifts for operation. The system is designed for one-person deployment and may be repositioned as mission requirements dictate. The requiring activity identified the Archer 1200 Barrier as the product that best satisfies operational requirements. The barriers will be delivered in accordance with the approved requirement package and salient characteristics.
