AT THE

TOWN OF HAMILTON
Quotes for the supply and installation of one (1) new 36k BTU heat pump outdoor unit and two
(2) 18k BTU indoor high wall evaporator units with associated equipment. The work is located at the
Hamilton Council of Aging, 299 Bay Road, Hamilton, MA. Quotes may be submitted via email to
tolson@hamiltonma.gov or received at the Hamilton Temporary Town Hall – Patton Homestead, 650
Asbury Street, Hamilton, MA 01982 until on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. There will be
no public bid opening and time is critical.
Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Office of the Department of Public Works,
Monday through Thursday between 8:00AM and 4:30PM and Friday between 8:00AM and 12:30PM.
Site visits can be scheduled by emailing DPW Director Tim Olson at tolson@hamiltonma.gov.
The town strongly encourages a site visit to understand working conditions, location of existing
equipment, and incidental items that may need to be included for installation. This is a senior center and
there will be no visits without town supervision.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including,
but not limited to G.L. c.149, §§ 44A - 44H, as amended.
Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of
Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 through 27D inclusive.
Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past
performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the
awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.
The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days,
Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids.
The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any
or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
