Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of a servo actuator from Interactive Instruments as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods and the contractor being the single provider of the goods. Servo actuator must have the ability to be mounted on top of a glove box without interfering with one-sided glove box operation to provide a mechanical load to metal test samples in a custom crucible test assembly via a pull rod. The actuator must have a load capacity of at least 5000 lbs and 2000 lbs in compression and the stroke range should be at least 3 inches, a stroke resolution of less than 3e-6 inches, and a load resolution of less than 0.5 lbs. The minimum stroke rate must be at least 1e-7 in/min. The system should be capable of cyclic loading up to 30 Hz and the actuator must weigh no more than 200 lbs. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010. Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by 12/30/2024 at 3:00PM PST.
