Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of City of Lonoke – Lincoln Street Sidewalk will be received by City of Lonoke at the office of City Hall, until 11:00 AM, (Standard Time-Daylight Savings Time) 7th day of December, 2021, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:
Bond Consulting Engineers East, Inc. ,
Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of Bond Consulting Engineers East, Inc. located at 3683 State Highway 77 North; Marion, AR 72364 upon payment of $ 200.00 for each set.
•BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law applies to this project. Subcontractors are also required to be licensed according to Arkansas State Law. Licensure is not required to submit a bid; however, evidence of licensure shall be provided to the Owner prior to signing the contract.
•BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that BUY AMERICA PROVISIONS apply to this contract. The Arkansas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, latest addition, Section 106 contains the requirements and restrictions for Buy America. 23 CFR §635.410 contains all federal requirements to Buy America.
•CITY hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the information for Bidders.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Bids will not be opened that come from a contractor that did not receive plans from the Engineer. This is to avoid any confusion over issuance of addendums.
