INVITATION TO BID
Separate sealed bids for Boatwright Drainage Improvements, Phase II, HW Project No. 2026011, will be received by the City of Van Buren, Arkansas at 1003 Broadway Street, Van Buren, Arkansas until 10:00 a.m. (local time), on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 (the “Opening Date”), at which time and location bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids shall be addressed “City of Van Buren, Arkansas,” and shall be labeled “Bid for Boatwright Drainage Improvements, HWEI Project No. 2026011”. Bidders shall include their Arkansas license number on the outside of their sealed bids. Any bid received after the scheduled opening time will be returned unopened.
This project includes construction of approximately 700 linear-feet of drainage improvements along North 21st Street and between Baldwin Street and Poplar Street in Van Buren, Arkansas including the installation of storm drain piping, drainage inlets, and construction of approximately 500 linear-feet of concrete open channel.

Copies may be obtained from QuestCDN upon a non-refundable payment of $22.00 for each set. Bidders are responsible for reproduction costs, and Bids will not be accepted from any Prospective Bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN. All Bidder questions must be submitted through the QuestCDN project portal page. Bidders will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issued in accordance with the requirements provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bidder must deposit with their Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
All Bidders must be licensed in conformance with the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Commercial Contractors as defined in Arkansas Code 17-25-101 and related statutes.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any and all Bids. Bids shall remain firm for a period not to exceed 60 days from the Bid opening date.
This publication was paid for by the City of Van Buren, Arkansas, and the cost of the publication is $386.22, per Arkansas Act 954 of 2021.
