Security Guard Services for the City of Gallup

The City of Gallup, New Mexico (“City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified, licensed firms to provide professional security guard services for City facilities and City-sponsored events.

Services will primarily be required at City Hall, with additional services at other City facilities as operational needs dictate. The Contractor shall be capable of providing Level I, Level II, and Level III security guards in compliance with NMSA 1978 §§61-27B-1 through 61-27B-26 and Title 16, Chapter 48 NMAC. It is anticipated that most assignments will require Level II (unarmed) security guards, unless otherwise directed by the City.

These services support the safety of City employees, officials, residents, and visitors by providing a visible security presence, monitoring facilities and grounds, assisting with crowd control and incident response, and coordinating with City staff and law enforcement as needed. Security needs vary by location and season and require flexible staffing, consistent professionalism, and compliance with all applicable state and local regulations. Through this Request for Proposals, the City intends to establish a contract for reliable, accountable security guard services that align with public safety objectives, operational needs, and best practices in public-sector risk management.
