The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Presolicitation Notice for Security Fence Improvements, Hop Brook Lake, Middlebury, CT.
QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROCUREMENT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED DURING THE PRESOLICITATION PHASE. SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO THE CONTRACT SPECIALIST AFTER THE SOLICITATION AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN POSTED.
THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, and supplies and materials necessary to perform security fence improvements at Hop Brook Lake Project Office and Dam Site Area. Major required items of work include removal and disposal of existing chain link fence and gates and installation of new chain link security fencing, gates and a vehicular barrier gate at the locations indicated on photos.
Specific work items include removal of existing chain link fence varying from 4 feet to 8 feet in height (some with barbed wire outriggers) and removal of (2) chain link double swing gates approximately 16-20 ft wide. Also included is the furnishing, and installation in accordance with the attached photos and specifications listed below for new 7-foot-tall chain link fence, 1-foot of barbed wire with outriggers, necessary hardware, and fence ties, with an overall height of approximately 8 feet. Gates to be installed include a 16-foot-wide and a 10-foot-wide chain link double swing gates, (2) 4-foot-wide chain link personnel gate, and a 20-foot-wide double swing vehicle barrier gate.
The magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. For additional information on construction contracts awarded to small businesses please visit: Partnering With Us (army.mil).
This is not a request for quotes at this time. The solicitation requirements and contract documents, to include instructions for submission, and the response date will be available on or about April 11, 2025. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Contract Opportunities website (www.SAM.gov).
This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million.
ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
