SECO Energy is looking for a catering partner for their emergency storm catering needs. The catering partner is an integral part of the emergency storm restoration process. The catering team will work onsite providing three meals a day to SECO Energy employees and local and out-of-state contractors, who are working extended days to restore power quickly and safely to our members in our large Central Florida service territory of over 200,000 accounts. The ideal catering candidate will be self-sufficient: having access to food and supply vendors; their own kitchen and service staff; and cooking/storage equipment. The catering partner must be flexible to frequent changes and have a “get it done” attitude; understanding that emergency storm restoration is a fluid process which may span multiple days and SECO Energy’s service territory runs into remote regions. The catering partner will have designated space available at one or more of SECO Energy’s work locations to set up mobile kitchens, prepare meals on site, and serve meals. SECO Energy will provide hotel accommodations for all assigned onsite catering employees. A typical day for the catering partner will include: providing a fulfilling hot breakfast each morning to office staff and field workers so they may start off their long days with proper nutrition and energy; preparing and supplying boxed lunches at the time of breakfast for all personnel since field crews work and move throughout the entire day; preparing and serving a hearty and plentiful hot dinner to help renew our hardworking staff and hold them over for the next day.
