Sebago Dam Bridge Column Repairs

This project scope involves a column brace repair to a bridge substructure. The bridge is located at the south end of Lake Sebago. The substructure consists of concrete piers/columns encased in concrete. The substructure height is approximately 30 feet +/- total from the roadway to the grade below. There is running water from the attached dam spillway structure, which feeds into a Class B stream. The repair location is approximately 8'-9' up from grade/the stream. The contractor will need to provide site access with temporary built-up scaffolding or with equipment from above, such as a UBIU (under bridge inspection unit).

The column brace repair involves a steel plate sleeve around an existing concrete column, with steel kicker braces that extend out to the adjacent columns. The ends of the braces are mounted with post installed anchors.

Lane closures are to be coordinated with Parks staff, and contractor should provide appropriate WZTC as necessary for any proposed lane closure requests. The work should be scheduled and completed as soon as feasible, and no later than 60 days after a Notice to Proceed is provided.
