ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the “75’ X 60’ Clear Span Hangar and Access Taxiway” Project will be received by the City of Arkadelphia, at the Airport Terminal Building, Arkadelphia, Arkansas, 71923 until 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Approximate quantities of some significant work items are:
75’ x 60’ Clear Span Hangar: 1 LS
Copies of the Plans and “Specifications and Contract Documents” may be examined at the Dexter B. Florence Memorial Field at the Airport Manager’s Office; and at the office of Grimes Consulting Engineers, Inc., 2800 Cantrell Road, Suite 101, Little Rock. Copies of the Plans and “Specifications and Contract Documents” (including proposal) may be obtained at the office of the Engineers at the purchase price of $50.00 (non-refundable).
A proposal guaranty shall accompany each bid. The guaranty shall be either a bid bond (executed on the form furnished by the Owner), cashier’s check, certified check, or other negotiable instrument equivalent to (5) percent of the amount of the bid, as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his/her bid, execute the Contract and cause to be executed a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, acceptable to the Owner, within 10 calendar days following notice of contract award. Such proposal guaranty shall be made payable to the City of Arkadelphia.
It is the policy of the City of Arkadelphia that disadvantaged business enterprises, as defined in 49 CFR Part 23, shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts.
The Bidder must supply all the information required by the proposal form.
Women will be afforded equal opportunity in all areas of employment. However, the employment of women shall not diminish the standards or requirements for the employment of minorities.
The City of Arkadelphia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities, except for conditions affecting Executive Order 11246.
Bids must remain in effect for 120 days after the bid opening date.
As a means of providing a secure and fair bid, No Plans, Specifications, or information will be provided to any “Plan Rooms”.
