ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
GULFPORT BUILDING REPAIRS AND CONSTRUCTION UNIT PRICE
Sealed bids for the Gulfport Building Repair and Construction Unit Price Project and other related work will
be received by the City of Gulfport Procurement Office at 1422 23rd Avenue, Jones Building, 2nd Floor,
Gulfport, MS 39501, either by mail or hand delivery, until 10:00 a.m., CST , April 17,2026 and then at said
location publicly opened and read aloud.
Scope of Work: The scope of work includes labor for construction, replacement and removal of walls,
doors, windows, flooring, roofing, masonry, plumbing, plumbing fixtures, and other associated work.
Individual work tasks will be limited to $75,000.00. All construction materials will be furnished by the
Owner.
One (1) original and one (1) USB copy of each proposal be submitted when submitting in person or
upload documents to Gulfport's Plan Room at www.gulfportmsbids.com.
The City of Gulfport offers electronic bidding. Official bid documents can be downloaded from the City of
Gulfport's Plan Room at www.gulfportmsbids.com. Electronic bids and/or reverse auctions bids can also
be submitted at www.gulfportmsbids.com .
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
For bids exceeding $50,000.00, Bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside
of sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. Effective July 1, 2010; Per MS Code 31-3-21(3); any bid
submitted by a nonresident contractor which does not include the nonresident contractor's current state
law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors, shall be rejected and not considered for
award. If no such law exists in the non-resident contractor's state, then the non-resident contractor may
provide a statement to that effect.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
The City is NOT responsible for responses which are mailed to the wrong address, or which arrive in the mail
or electronically after the designated bid opening time.
Direct contact with any City employee, GRC Commissioners, including Administration and City Council, on
the subject of this proposal is strictly forbidden. Violation of this paragraph will result in disqualification of
your submission.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
