SDOT Bridge Planning Studies

The City of Seattle is seeking qualifications for SDOT Bridge Planning Studies . Qualifications are due no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025 . All questions are to be submitted through the e-procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/seattle no later than 12:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2025 .

The City of Seattle, through its Department of Transportation, SDOT, requests Statements of Qualifications to develop Type, Size, and Location (TS&L) reports. TS&L reports will support City efforts to evaluate and seek future funding partnerships for possible bridge replacement(s). The reports will consider design elements that will provide for safe and predictable travel for people walking, biking, and driving in cars as well as freight trucks to access jobs and essential services. These projects are for the planning phase only, however if partnership funds are secured, there is an option to advance to 30% design for one or any combination of the projects.

The awarded consultant(s) may be considered to complete subsequent phases depending upon the consultant(s)’ satisfactory performance on prior work and upon negotiation of an agreement for the subsequent phase(s). The City is not obligated to use the same consultant for all phases. Separate consultant agreements may be considered for each phase that the funding is authorized. Anticipated phases: 30% design.
