SCL Crude Fiber Analyzer

The Department of Agriculture & Industries is seeking a quote to provide an Fiber Analayzer 120V and watter Heater Assembly (120V) as needed for State Chemical Lab, 1171 Wire Rd., Auburn, AL 36832. All suppliers are required to submit an electronic quote on Alabama Buys Portal to participate. All participating vendors must possess an established quality assurance program that includes a Quality Management System ISO accreditation for the distribution of medical and scientific products. We reserves the right to request a copy of the suppliers ISO Certifcate(s).

Crude Fiber Analyzer
GENERAL:
1.    All equipment purchased shall be in new condition and in current manufacturing plant production.  No demo or used equipment is acceptable.
2.    The instrument must be a benchtop model.  Due to space limitation, floor mounted instruments are not acceptable.
3.    The system should be capable of Acid Detergent, Neutral Detergent, and Crude Fiber Analysis.
4.    The system should satisfy the requirements of the Official AOCS Crude Fiber Method: AOCS Ba 6a-05.
5.    Once the run starts, chemical additions, rinses, and filtration should be performed automatically in a closed system without human intervention for safer operator handling.
6.    The analyzer should contain 5 easy-connect solution ports with tubing for multiple chemical connections.
7.    The analyzer should incorporate filter bag technology to eliminate glassware, ensure ease of handling, and reduce technician error.
8.    The analyzer should process a batch of up to 24 samples at once.
9.    Sample Size 0.5-1.0g.
10.    Fiber Range 0-100%.
11.    Power requirements: 110-120V,

WARRANTY:
1.    The warranty shall be 1 year from the date of receipt.  The warranty shall cover parts, labor, and shipping.  This warranty should include all the subcomponents of the system, including the 120V water heater.POST AWARD REQUIREMENTS OF THE VENDOR (AFTER INSTALLATION)
1.    The vendor will ship within 30 days of receiving the PO.
2.    The vendor must provide customer support via phone or email (free of charge).
3.    The vendor must provide customer support during normal business hours Monday through Friday (holidays excluded).

Inline Hot Water Heater (120V)
An inline hot water heater (120V) with tubing shall be furnished to heat the cold tap water supply to operating temperature of 50-85 degrees C.

The warranty shall be 1 year from the date of receipt.  The warranty shall cover parts, labor, and shipping.

POST AWARD REQUIREMENTS OF THE VENDOR (AFTER INSTALLATION
1.    The vendor will ship within 30 days of receiving the PO.

Supplier Part Number Requirement on Quick Quotes:
The standard solicitation submission requirement to provide a “Supplier Part Number” has been removed.  This information may still be necessary for certain Quick Quotes. If required, agencies shall include the following term and conditions to clearly indicate to suppliers that part number(s) for each item are necessary.

Model/Part Number and Descriptive literature:
The brands and model numbers referenced provide a level of quality, and unless otherwise specified, are not restrictive. Suppliers quoting alternate items must provide a complete model/part number as well as descriptive/technical literature for consideration and evaluation with their quote. Reference to literature with a previous solicitation will not satisfy this requirement.  Failure to provide the required literature may result in the rejection of the supplier’s response.
